My name is Killian Duffy, I am the owner & operator of www.onthepacenote.com commercial Pacenotes and Safetynotes in Ireland. I established my business in 2010 and since then my it has grown in customer numbers year on year.
Ireland has some of the most technical stages in the World, so my pacenotes supplied at every event in Ireland will help crews to negotiate the stages quickly and safely. My Pacenotes have all the detail required to describe the stage ahead, while keeping the description as simple as possible, so that the co-driver can relay the information quickly and easily to the driver. The aim of my notes is that crews will have as little amending as possible to do on the recce.
On all events, my notes are available to purchase at documentation/recce sign on. I am usually at events selling notes myself, but if I am out of the country competing, I will have a designated person there selling the notes. They will have www.onthepacenote.com signs so that you will not miss them! If you require notes and DVD before an event, you can order on-line, or call me with debit/credit card details. Now available for the first time on my website, users can download videos from events I have made notes for, this service means users can watch in-car on their computers or smartphones at anytime after downloading the videos.
My experience of Irish stages began when I started competing here in 1999. After many successful years competing up and down the country with various drivers in many different class of cars (GpN 2wd to WRC). I became Irish National Rally Champion Co-Driver in 2007, co-driving for Aaron MacHale in a Ford Focus WRC 05. I also have experience of driving on Irish stages, having competed on tarmac rallies in a Citroen c2r2 and gravel rallies in an Lancer evo6. However, my experience is not just on Irish Stages, since 2003 I have competed in the Middle East Rally Championship with various drivers. In 2004 I finished 3rd Overall in the Middle East Rally Championship.
In 2007, I made my WRC debut co-driving for Aaron MacHale in Rally Ireland, finishing 13th Overall. Since 2007, I have competed in 26 WRC events to date, my highest finishes were Rally Australia and Rally Spain 2013, finishing 10th Overall in each event & scoring 2 WRC Points.
In 2013, I have competed with Abdulaziz Al-Kuwari in our ‘Seashore’ Ford Fiesta RRC. On WRC rounds we are run by M-Sport and we contested the WRC2 Category where we won WRC2 in Rally Mexico, Rally Argentina, & Rally Australia. We lead the category for most of the year but were narrowly beaten to the Championship by Robert Kubica. For Rally Spain 2013, we moved up to a WRC Fiesta, where we finished 10th Overall.
We also competed in the 2013 Middle East Rally Championship scoring podiums on nearly all rounds of the Championship.
My experience of Rallies all around the world helped prepare me to provide the best pacenotes and safetynotes available commercially. I have WRC experience on both gravel and tarmac, so I am equally comfortable making notes on both surfaces.
I supply the traditional notes at each event (1 Fastest, 6 Fastest, and Descriptive), but if you require a different format of notes please do not hesitate to contact me. For each rally, I also provide a HD Quality DVD and now Video Download. On gravel events, crews are not allowed a recce, so the DVD provides an opportunity for crews to look over the stages before the rally and tailor the notes accordingly. The DVD/Video Download for tarmac events can be useful to get a feel for the stage, or to watch on the morning of a rally in preparation for the day ahead.
I am Ireland’s leading note supplier, and over the following years I am hoping to expand my business into other countries and markets. I am always contactable by phone or email, so if you have any queries about my notes, the events I cover, or new markets, please feel free to contact me.
